Evgeniya has 20 years of professional experience in the fields of financial and non-financial reporting, financial consulting, corporate governance compliance assessment and auditing. She started her career in KPMG Bulgaria back in 2003. Since then, she has been part of various audit projects in Europe, New Zealand and Africa. Up to 2021 Evgeniya was an audit partner in Deloitte Africa and served as the Professional Practice Director for Deloitte Botswana. She has also been actively involved in various quality improvement initiatives of Deloitte’s risk and quality team. Evgeniya was also a member of the Botswana Institute of Chartered Accountants Technical Committee and Training and Professional Development Committee. Evgeniya resumed her professional activities in Europe in 2022 and she is currently working with the Bulgarian Industrial Capital Association and the Association of Bulgarian Investor Relationship Directors to assist their members in meeting the emerging sustainability reporting requirements. Since July 2023 Evgeniya has been representing SGI Europe at EFRAG’s Connectivity Advisory Panel, in charge of the important project of different aspects of connectivity between the financial and sustainability reports, which is a priority project of both the European Commission and the International Sustainability Reporting Board (ISSB).
